The Mission of The Society of the Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick in the County of Westchester, New York is inspired by the life of our Patron Saint.
Members share and celebrate their brotherly heritage of Ireland and are committed to providing charitable assistance to the needy and less fortunate.
The Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick of Westchester County is a 501c3
non-profit organization that meets annually in the fall, on the Monday
evening of Thanksgiving week and hosts a black-tie fundraiser dinner
in March, before St. Patricks Day (March 17th).
“The Friendly Sons” is organized in many cities and municipalities,
though there is no national governing body. Our Westchester County
(NY) organization was founded in 1954. Membership is open to males,
who can claim Irish descent. Membership requires nomination by two
(2) current members in good standing. Dues are per annum.
Our fundraising focus are local charities and often times, individuals in need
who meet the criteria of our Almoner.
